I got a nice letter from my MP this morning, quote

Dear Mr Harrison
Thank you for your facsimile of 15 February regarding your concern that the Government has instructed the police to persecute motorcyclists in rural areas.

I can understand your concern about this issue and I have tabled a Written Parliamentary Question to ascertain what regulations appertaining to motorcyclists the Minister has recently brought in. I will of course be in touch again when I have received the answer.

With best wishes

I got mine from Sir Paul Beresford yesterday too:

quote:

Thanks you for your letter faxed to me at the end of last week.

I missed Mr Meacher's leaked anti-bike letter but, from the details in your letter, would definitely be opposed.

I am an ex-motorbike enthusiast and feel that, as long as citizens are within the normal standard of the law, such an attack is uncalled for.

Again, nice to get a response, but he doesn't show any intent to go give Meacher a bit of a kicking in the MPs' bar.

Sir Paul wouldn't contemplate such a thing. But he knows a couple of geezers who would...
