Got to fit a new passenger side door mirror to the spare car, but am buggered if I can get the triangular shaped plastic housing off the inside of the door. I thought it was just a push fit but it seems really tight.

Don't suppose anyone has a haynes manual they could have a quick look at do they? J plate XR2i. I would go to halfords but it appears the cheeky sods shrink wrap them now!

believe it or not, I used to borrow my haynes manuals from local library... perhaps they could help if you get no joy here..

LMAO !!!

Did you return them with all the pages covered in oily fingerprints ? That's how all my old ones ended up until I found the meaning of the word "outsource"

That's funny !!!

indeed I did

But then they were usually already oily when I borrowed them..

It's quite useful for a car that needs different haynes manuals for different parts, eg my V6 Cavalier which needed a Cavalier manual, a Calibra manual and a V6 Omega manual..

Not managed to find it sorry but I think you have to take off the door trim panel and then unscrew the mirror from the inside. BTW be careful nod to bend anything fragile.
