Aye, these Japanese 1000bhp monsters are becoming more common.

Can't read German. Is this a German tuned example? Definately German styled though - Those wheels don't look right in the arches.
And is that the rear wheel sticking out past the arch?

my german's not too hot, but this is what i'd guess:

Special model from Japan
Uprated: fuel injection, forged pistons, 3 bar boost (?) zero to 200km/h in 6.4 sec. Serious callers only, no test pilots

I'd agree though - its definitely Fugly.

My German's not too hot either, but this is what I can make of it...

Description: Special model from Japan!!! Uprated: Nitrousinjection, forged pistons, scarcely 3 bar load! Zero to 200km/h (125mph) in 6.4 sec.! serious callers only, no test runs possible!

My German is a bit "Commando comic only" as well but I seem to be able to dechipher nitrous oxide injection, turbo boost of 3Bar and 0-200kph in 6.4s.

I have no idea what a "probefahrten" is and I'm pretty sure I don't want to know

Just imagine driving it when the boost hits 3bar..

I've felt what 0-130 in 11 seconds is like, but 6.4?! must do your head in. Be like being on the Enterprise - "engage" !

Is this sort of thing road legal?

We should try and get an insurance quote for it...

The body Kit looks like a Veilside (Redline magazine have one on their UK spec Supra) - doesn't look too well fitted though - there's a big step by the front of the front wheelarch!

Still, can't really argue with 999BHP though! There was one featured in M** P**** a couple of months ago, that had over 1000BHP - the dyno only went up 1000BHP, so they couldn't find out it's actual limit!, and it did 249 MPH on the salt flats at Utah, they reckoned it could have gone faster, as they weren't even running full boost! (full boost had to be activated by an in cockpit switch, which the driver couldn't reach as his hands were strapped to the steering wheel to prevent the flailing about in a crash!)

If I was given an Airifx kit of a Supra - it would probably finish up looking like this car.

More dog's breakfast than dog's bollox.

I agree it looks far too M.P - would be far better in plain black with no fancy spoilers etc. Much more fun at the lights too with an understated 'stealth'
look. Looks like someone squirted glue inside the airfix box and shook it up.

Looks aside though, the engine is bloody impressive. Must be an absolute mind bending experience. The acceleration in my friends 450bhp twin turbo nissan 300zx in staggering and relentless. This must be crazy. I think the 1000bhp Skyline's are far more popular due to having 4WD to lay down that kind of power.

'Serious enquiries only, no test drives possible!'

I rather like the word 'probefahrten' for a test drive. How about adding it to your new dictionary Ted?
'Probefahrten' = test drive of something rather interesting?

Anyone remember when that Japanese chap tried to do 200 on the new A1M section near Peterborough. Done with the assistance of Max Power magazine and he didnt quite get the chance to get to 200! Caught by the law, had his car impounded and his passport taken away until he promised to take the car back to Japan and never return with it!!! Oh, and a hefty fine - and Max Power got a rap on the knuckles too...

Nice idea, but when the law can do this you have to question the practicalities...

Cheers,

Paul

Not that I'd know but there are much better roads for that sort of endeavour...

I can just imaginge the scene.. copper sat in layby, spills coffee in his lap (a la US Police Chase movies) as an unidentified meccano missile flies past at 180mph while he's lazily eyeing the Vectras doing 85 and reading his Daily Mirror.
