Wedding car needed !
Discussion
I'm finally getting married this summer and am in need of a suitably fine horseless carriage for my Bride to be on the day, and need Pistonheads advice
My own car (1969 Corvette Roadster) is perfect for leaving the reception in style but I have a very classy motor in mind for the Bride - 30's or 50s coachbuilt Bentley, R-Royce, Cadillac (when they were still great cars) etc The last thing I'm interested in is a knackered 70's Silver Shadow full of filler.
My wedding will be in August in Surrey - has anyone out there got a suggestion for a hire firm / car that would suit and possibly reccomend??
Your help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

This sort of thing? Probably lots of these specialist firms near you.

I'm getting married in May.
We plan to drive away from the church in my car.
That way, given nice weather, we can blast away top down.
We'll get driven away from the reception in something else. That way, we can both get gubbed at the reception.
Have you thought about driving away from the church in the 'Vette?

A friend of mine runs 'wedding supercars' (see weddingsupercars.com).
He has some tasty machinery on his books - including a car or two owned by anonymous pistonheads members - so do take a look.
We're talking Koenig 328s, Diablos and stuff, by the way. Maybe not the kind of thing for a blushing bride, although he does have supersaloons on his books, too.
Cheers

Captain,
Try Hartwell Classic Cars, 01732 452345 (kent)
I used an early 60's RR in December for my sentencing, sorry Wedding In Surrey, but I know he had a couple of earlier RR's
The one we used had won RR club concours awards recently.
I thought he had a web site, but I can't find it.
Very nice bloke and not too expensive either considering he had to travel a fair distance for us.
Good luck

Any of you chaps have similar wedding car type company contacts up in the (East) Midlands area?
Favourite 'she' seems to be a 1930's style (and not a bloody Beauford!), and just wondered if people have recommendations?
Had a lucky escape - 'she' wanted a horse and carriage but I put my foot down!
(OK, actually pointed out the house is over 20 miles from the venue and the horse would be knackered  )
Cheers, Phil
