Looking to insure my TVR S2 again but getting quoted some silly prices, can anyone recommend companies and give numbers if possible.

£1332.57 unlimited miles with £500 excess, best so far but still a lot.

That does sound a lot, have your premiums risen this year?

Well last year I was limited to 5000 miles at £970 but have gone over a lot so wanted higher mileage this year, it’s worth the extra £300 to go for unlimited miles then I don’t have to worry, did expect around the £1000 mark as I have now owed it for a year and was told it would go down. I’m 24 and a lot of companies won’t quote until I’m 25.

paul - try www.privilege.com

you can have a look online. i was quoted prices of £2,000 for a chimp but privilege quoted £800. i recko9n they are pretty cheap.

Thanks tried to get a on line quote but have 3 points on my license, so got directed to direct line which then crashes half way through. Maybe I’ll give them a call instead.

Not sure how they are on performance cars, but I use Admiral for my JapBox & they don't appear to care at all about SP30s etc & their online quotes appear to work okay.

Yeah - Direct Line are for 'low risk' drivers - ie flat cap & Volvo.. If you phoned DL they'd transfer you to Privilege ...

Peart have quoted me £1076 fully comp with unlimited mileage, so it’s getting better.
