After spending 6 1/2 hours driving the 250 miles to Manchester !!! I've decided that I really need to invest in a sat/nav & 'traffic advice' system . Trouble is they all look mighty expensive....can anybody recommend something around the £500-1000 mark?
I'm just so pleased that we've got such a good traffic management strategy in this country....sitting in jams wastes all that fuel & raises all that extra tax for HMG...wait a minute maybe that's the strategy...no wonder there's so much money to spend on making things better. ho ho ho!

Your best bet is the Alpine unit,
ive got the cd rom based model but you can now get a dvd one with postcode search the cd rom is about £1200 and a scren is about £500 or you can replace your radio with a tv headunit about £1000
Ok its expensive but you get what you pay for
