quote:
"A total of 276 drivers out of 1,761 breathalysed after road accidents in London tested positive - a rate of 15.6 per cent. The previous year, only 8.8 per cent of drivers failed breath tests after accidents. Nationally, figures produced by the Association of Chief Police Officers, showed positive breath tests up one per cent to eight per cent. "

Perhaps in light of the most recent anti-drink-drive campaign people are becoming weary of the government's increasingly banal shock tactics?

Perhaps now the DETR (or is it DLTR now?) will modify their campaign strategy on drink-driving and general safety issues to approach the whole issue in a more intelligent way rather than resorting to the emotional-blackmail ("won't somebody please think of the poor children?") strategy displayed in the last couple of years.

hey look, most people think "if I don't speed, I won't get nicked". And you know what, they're correct most of the time.

All the speed laws have just made it easier to DD.

Hope none of you chaps has more than a pint before driving? - silly question. Of course you don't.
