Some of you may have seen this on the news but here is a copy of an email I recieved yesterday from a very upset Allard Marx, owner of Delfino cars.Hi Everyone,

I would appreciate your help in recovering our pride and joy.

I had just taken the black Delfino Feroce prototype for an outing to a film studio with a view to having it cast in any films planned etc. (speculatively).

Upon return I parked it in Cathcart Road in Fulham, London, to drop someone off.

Came back and found a grubby Jag in its place. Took me a full few seconds to register, this was NOT my car.

Friday, December 14, between 18.45 and 19.45

Have checked "Trace" three times. No go. Have now reported the theft to the police and am going in for full report with photo.

Reports of any sightings from any of you (except perhaps those outside the UK!) would be hugely appreciated.

I will keep you informed.

Many thanks,

Allard.

Allard Marx

Ye gods, what is that thing !!! Sad that it's got nicked, but surely the photo's in the wrong thread-should be in "what's the ugliest car you've ever seen."
I gather from their website that it uses Scooby bits, but presumably they can't get the bits supplied direct-does this mean they're going to cut up new Imprezas? (It's been done before, the few Lancia Hyenas that were built used complete, new Integrales.)

I hope Allard gets it back, but the furore seems bizarre.

The press were claiming it was a '£2m supercar' that had been stolen, which I'm sure was the development cost of the prototype. However, it is clearly a dressed up Impreza, and I doubt anyone would pay much over 20k for this object in the hard world of classified car advertising.

What next? Strathcarron SC-5s (7 or so sold, or sommat) being advertised at 200k each to reflect their share of the investment costs?

And can I flog my Lotus Carlton for 10 grand more now that I've invested this amount in its welfare over the last couple of years? I'm sure my insurer would agree in the event of its demise, and pay out the full cost.

Maybe 'weird kitcar goes missing' didn't have the same ring.

There was me hoping I'd see a McLaren F1 road car being tailed by a police helicopter, with in car footage from a panda car vascar camera!!!

Apologies to all Delfinowotsit admirers for any offence caused. Just ain't my bag, baby!

Don't worry Ted, enjoy your Christmas, we can just ignore these losers.

Ps. chaps - thinking of selling the 348 and coming back to the fold as will need back seat from next year. Can you get babies in the back of Cerberas ? If not its a 911 I'm afraid, unless anyone has any other good ideas??

Ted - If you can perfect the numpty filter (TM) for this site, do you think it could be built into cars to prevent inconsiderate driving?

I saw it about a year ago, you'd be surprised how good it looks in the flesh. But then again, I once had a banana yellow Corrado.
