Throwing litter out of cars.

Is it worth reporting scumbag cretins who throw litter out of cars or am I wasting my time.

Often thought that a bang on the door may disuade them from doing it again?

Any thoughts before I ring plod.

That really bloody annoys me when people do that apart from making the country look untidy its feckin dangerous, especially when doing 70 mph and somebody chucks half their lunch out of the window and it ends up on your windscreen

got stuck in a traffic jama couple of weekends ago on he A1 near Knebworth. The detritus in the central reservation was just disgusting. I even saw a water bottle half full of what I can only guess to have been urine.

It really annoys me when people chuck fag ends out of cars when they have an ash tray. Selfish cretins imo.

Discard McD’s or KFC packaging. What’s wrong with putting it all in a bag and taking the stuff home FFS.

I hope the Blue TVR Tuscan driver who allowed his passenger to throw a half full can of Coke out of his window just past the Hook turnoff on the London Bound M3 at 1520 hrs today is not a PHer. If he is then I hope he beats his passenger with a blunt object. I was going to say beats them senseless but nature has beaten him to that.

Report them to plod?

In my experience, plod take utterly no interest in reports of dangerous/uninsured/reckless driving, so I doubt that they would give to hoots for a bit of litter being binned out of a car window - although I quite agree, it is dangerous and bloody disgusting.

Unless you know some good way of making plod take notice?

My farrier is very upperty about litterbugs, he saw someone chuck an empty crisp packet out of a car in a traffic jam a year or so back which really got his goat, so he walked up to the car, tapped on the window with a smile on his face, when they dropped the window, he chucked the contents of his overflowing ashtray into their car, it sounded hilarious (ps. before anyone says anything about him getting beaten up, that would not happen, he is about 19 stone of muscle - a farrier remember)

He'd probably be well up for an assault charge though (not that I haven't thought of doing such things to litter louts). The fags ends really annoy me, littering scum just think the world is their ashtray.
