Has anyone read the ‘Invincible’ graphic novels

Has anyone read the graphic novels and watched the animated series on Amazon as well ? If so are they similar or is the TV show missing out chunks of story or slightly/largely different to each other for example ‘the boys’ (if you’ve read and watched both you’ll know what I mean :-)) and death note etc as if so might start reading the novels too.
