The Greatest Escape
Discussion
Books about WW2 are very rarely my thing but for personal reasons I made an exception for The Greatest Escape, by Martin Barratt . His father was the navigator in a Halifax which was shot down over Germany . This is an intensely moving and profoundly upsetting book , which took the author over twenty years to research.
