Can't recall the name of this SF book featuring a gladiator

Decades ago, the premise was that a gladiator who had been frozen alive in a glacier was revived and looked after by a couple of people who could speak Latin.

I've read a great many books but this one has stuck in my mind for some reason, and I would like to read it again. Tried a bit of Googling but no luck so far.
