What to do with an old book...?
Discussion
Hi everyone. My Dad recently passed away, and I'm trying to sort some of his possessions that are in my garage.
He has an old book, that is in poor condition, but may be of interest to someone. The question is where would I be able to find people who may be interested in it? I don't think Ebay is necessarily to place to go.
Here it is...
Thanks!

There's only one available on Abebooks

yours for a mere £2822, but probably in far better condition.

Being both incredibly obscure and published in 1830, I would think it's well beyond the long arm of copyright enforcement. For that reason I suggest it might be of interest for someone to digitise on Archive.org or similar. Being a religious work, there might also be a church or similar that would be willing to take it off your hands though remuneration may not be forthcoming. You may also want to speak to a specialist bookseller about it and see what their recommendation might be.
contact the company on ABE books selling the other copy - they will know a value and may make you an offer - they must at the least have an interest / belief that the book is worth selling if they are offering another copy...
many of these types of old books / pamphlets etc. are traded within quite small circles of dealers and collectors, so the secret is to get into that circle...
