pdf to book printer
Discussion
Anybody know of a cheap PDF to book printing service? Hardback would be preferred.
Basically a mate of mine who is a PT has sent me a 109 page PDF of high protein meals which he sends to all his clients (I'm not a client just a mate) its turned up and I was expecting it to just be a list etc but its actually really good, lots of pictures etc really well done.
Asked him why he hadn't done it as a book and said basically nobody buys them anymore, So I want a book version for myself as I use cooking books a lot! But I also want to do a printed version to send him!
One website I found was about £45 each.
Anybody used anything?

Sounds like the experts who told me the 'book was dead' - that was 33 years ago! POD (Print on Demand) is common for 'short-run' books today. In effect, a book never need go OP (Out of Print).
You can have just one single copy of a book printed - hardback or paperback (but it'll cost you - as above - the more you have done the lower the unit cost). You'll normally be given an account and the book will be kept online. You want another, simply order one (or more copies) etc. After a year you have renew your account to keep it going.
Important - be careful who you choose. Reliable long standing book printers who know what they are doing are best, if you want a decent job done.
Never underestimate a market. He might think nobody buys books anymore ...but he would be very wrong.
I’ve used the company below, cheap and cheerful but decent results. Only thing id say is the front cover is a sheet of clear plastic, so it’s not quite like a normal paperback book.
Not sure you’ll get cheap if you want a bespoke print hardback book though?
