But not a workshop manual for something practical (Ford Escort, or VW Beetle).

I'm thinking something a bit more ... esoteric.

They do them on a number of cool things - Apollo 13, Saturn rockets, A-10, F-16, the Bismark etc etc.

Only proviso it be a cool bit of tech.

Anybody got one they would recommend? Are they all of a similar standard?

Many years ago, my brother helped co- write a book for Haynes... about small oval racing on the UK.
We Hawked it around the various stadiums, & it was very popular at the time.

I keep meaning to buy the one about the WW2 patrol/gun/torpedo boat as I follow the chap who wrote it on Twitter and he seems to be knowledgable and interesting.
