I’m racking my brains trying to remember a book/series of books that I read as a child (1990s). A group of kids/teenagers and a dog who would solve crime, beat the bad guy, etc.

Very much an adventure style book.

I think that they would have been a well known series, however once google gets a sniff of Enid Blyton it’s difficult to find anything.

Any ideas?

The Three Investigators - I loved those. Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw and Bob Andrews. There have been some fairly recent films made of them in Germany.

That’s the ones i was thinking of ! They had use of a Rolls Royce that they won in a competition for a small period of time , but they argued the time only counted when actually using it. So basic had it for all the books 😂

Don't know about the OP but it's brought back a lot of happy memories.

I also liked the Adventure series by Enid Blyton (The River of Adventure, The Island of Adventure etc)

From the Enid Blyton society:

Jack is a bird-lover obsessed with finding a Great Auk, Philip has the ability to charm animals of all kinds from lizards to bears, Dinah is a feisty, adventurous girl while Lucy-Ann, affectionate and home-loving and not really one for adventures at all, is actually the bravest of the lot. As for Kiki, she has a knack of saying just the right thing at the right time and her mischievous antics brighten many a dark moment.

Not helpful to the OP but I’m actually reading those to my youngest at the moment. They’re definitely dated in some ways, but we’re both really enjoying them. Much better bedtime reading than the Narnia books which we did before (and which were generally pretty turgid despite me quite enjoying them as a kid).
