didn't realise he was so old. I always think of his as young, but then he did publish his fathers works way back in the 70's.

Quite a loss, but he had a good innnings and massively expanded the lore surrounding Middle Earth.

Do you know if GRRM has any offspring that could wrap up ASOIAF when he goes? Or is D&D's TV series the only conclusion we will get?
