Thinking about giving audiobooks a go after hearing a few people discussing it.

Where’s good to start in terms of an app or a service that I can try it out without spending much (nothing is even better!!)

Needs to be playable from an iPhone that isn’t internet connected (ie for on flights)

Thanks!

Try your local library service. I have just joined the library to use the Libby app. It's free as a way to try out Audiobooks.

I use the Apple book store. I don't listen to audio books regularly enough to get through them quickly and often they are really long so seem like great value for money. Audible do a subscription which gives you one a month but I wouldn't get through a book that often as only listen in the car.

Must admit though, some of the audiobooks I've listened to have been so good. The Exorcist read by the author was long but excellent. I did look at Stephen King's It but I'm not sure I could handle 45 hours of it.

Thanks all! Have signed up for the audible trial as I get an extra book credit for having amazon Prime. Should be plenty of time to decide whether it’s for me or not!
