Book recommending apps/websites

It would be great if there was an app that logged the books I have read and rated (say out of 10) then matched/recommends similar gender and era books.

I use Goodreads to log my books which does try to do the above but is not very good.

Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Bit late - but LibraryThing is what I use. It's free unlimited use now - I have about 1400 books listed on it and it will recommend you books, based on what you put on there, and rate. Bit of a dated busy interface but they've been working on a revamp apparently. They have a phone app so you can scan in the ISBN numbers of modern books and add quickly.

No worries - I still use it. And use the phone app a lot when I'm out bookshopping - pretty quick to see whether I have a book already, and what's on my wishlist.
