Ant Middleton - First Man In
Discussion
Picked this up from Amazon the other day. I have only watch one series of SAS: Who Dares Wins but knew roughly who he was. Its an interesting read. Certainly a bit of character. Turned into a bit of a tt but was able to get hold of himself and turn it around.
Some interesting stories about the army. Really interesting how he wanted to be in the paras so much but when he was in he realised they were just a bunch of drunken yobbos.

I really looked forward to this book but was left feeling the book lacked something. I don't know what it was but maybe i didn't like the management feel of the book. I think i'd have preferred it without the leadership side of things. Still a worthwhile read though.
I think i read somewhere that he has a 2 book deal.
Just noticed Foxy has a book coming out in November which will be ordered.

Finished it. Good read. The leadership bits as someone said about were a bit of a waste but I suppose he was trying to write something a bit different.
One of the most interesting chapters was not the military stuff but the filming of Bounty. Going to watch that series on all 4 now.
I made the mistake of googling some of the bits he talked about. Found out there is a civilian version of the Fandance and have entered that!

Went to see Ant last night at the Manchester Apollo, and he comes across as a nice chap, pretty funny and has a lot of interesting stories to tell. Like others have mentioned, his prolongued attempts at becoming a 'positive mindset' life-coach got a little tiresome at times, but 90% of the time he was on point.
Got a copy of the book so will report back...
