Trying To Identify An Old Comic Strip
Discussion
Disclaimer: What follows is going to make me sound like a bit of a pervert, and whilst I might be such, that is not what this is about.
I am trying to identify a comic strip. Written in the fifties or sixties, and I don't know if it ever appeared in a newspaper - I remember it from one or two paperback compilations.
The artwork is in the style of Dan DeCarlo's early work, but many (most? all?) of the cartoons are about a French woman who I vaguely recall is named Clementine or Valentine, but might not be. Essentially, all the men she dates try to get her into the sack. She's often naked (wrapped in a towel coming out of the shower, or posing as an artist's model and suchlike), and acts the innocent, although I suspect she's a bit of a bike.
I have Googled the heck out of it, and got nowhere. It may even be DeCarlo but I'm wondering if anyone else has any ideas of where to look.

Are you going to use these characters in your next novel? Sounds intriguing. Have you got any links to the original artwork?
I think it was a creative writing exercise that made me think of this cartoon, although I don't remember why exactly. No intention to use the characters, it was just one of those niggling things that kept bothering me, and I couldn't remember enough to allow me to move beyond it. I thought perhaps PH could help, because there are plenty of people on here with some obscure interests - although in this case, it appears to be me...No direct links, but Googling will show you some of the cartoons.
