Hi

I've read, The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. What others would you recommend?

Thanks

Mark

There's a series of them but they're all pretty good (as far as the genre goes!)

The only ones I've read are by Dana Fredsti: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plague-Town-Ashley-Parker-... I got the first one free and ended up getting them all. There's plenty of blood and gore, but fairly light.

If I was comparing them to a zombie movie/TV, I'd say kind of Resident Evil with a hint of Buffy.

I Zombie is an interesting take on the genre.

I enjoyed it and I'm a massive fan of the undead.

I almost forgot that The Girl With All the Gifts is a zombie novel! That one I would unreservedly recommend for a slightly different, but not so scientifically 'out there' take on the virus.

This is the book I came to mention, excellent twists smile

Adrian's Undead Diary by Chris Philbrook. It started off as a web series, then he eventually got it published, available on Amazon.

Agreed. Without a doubt the best zombie series I've ever read. Utterly brilliant.

Double this - awaiting book 9 at the end of the month - I've also read all the spin-offs and back storys.

The Apocalypse Z series by Manel Loureiro. Originally translated from Spanish. Theres three books in the series, all other zombie books get compared to those. None have come close since.

Mark Tufo's books are a good read too.

Add him as a friend on FB and you can actually chat to him about his characters etc....

The best ones I've read so far are The Gathering Dead series by Stephen Knight.

Much more of a 'military vs. zombies' theme than most, but this at least means the characters tend to make sensible decisions! Also brings some World War Z practicality to dealing with the problems.

About 3/4 of the way through book 9 now and it's keeping the frantic action dialled right up to 10. Book 10's out on 21st Oct.

I've also just remembered The Passage by Justin Cronin. Brilliant book and kind of a zombie novel but in a very different way.

The Hater trilogy by David moody is good.
The first book is great, kinda meanders in the second and picks up in the third.

Don't forget that it's just the first of a trilogy. The Twelve isn't bad either, third book seems to be coming out next year.
