You may also be familiar with The Pipes of Lucknow, JG Whittier, and there is a wealth of other Victorian work, not all of the quality of the Burial of Sir John Moore

There is a long poem published in WW2 called Who Dare To Live, but you won't find a copy that easily. Amazon?
