Scram! By Harry Benson - Falklands chopper pilots.
Discussion
I've just re-read this whilst on holiday.
Scram! Is a riveting read for anyone interested in the Falklands war, military aviation or just the amazing way that individuals can make up for institutional failings to get the job done.
It's well written and not too techy, there are some interesting stories in there that aren't widely known and having had the pleasure of flying with (as commercial pilots) one of the characters in the book, the honest but understated description of being strafed by a Mirage in a Wessex gives me goosebumps. The books not too long and not too dear, highly recommended!
