For want of a better word for it can anybody recommend any good non-fiction stories of 'adventure'? I've recently enjoyed:

Touching the Void
Into Thin Air
Unbroken
The Driver

Thanks!

Just looking along my shelves;

A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush by Eric Newby
The First Crossing of Greenland by Fridtjof Nansen
South by Ernest Shackleton
A Time of Gifts and Between the Woods and the Water by Paddy Leigh Fermor
Ill Met by Moonlight by W Stanley Moss
And many more!

Other authors such as Tim Severin, Paul Theroux, some William Dalrymple, some Hemingway too.

One I know less well is St Exupery but apparently Wind Sand and Stars is very good.

I hope that helps.
