Maybe 15 years ago I bought a book for my son. It was a large format book, basically a collection of incredibly detailed artworks each depicting literally hundreds of items, the linking feature of each individual artwork being that all the items on that page started with the same letter of the alphabet. The object was to identify as many as you could against a big checklist in the back of the book.

It was quite a famous book at the time and I'd love to buy it again but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called.

Any PHers remember it?

I remember 2. There was The Ultimate Alphabet, and there was Masquerade. Both were treasure hunts iirc.

I had one until we moved in August. I took it to the charity shop. Want me to nip in and see if they have still got it?

Ah that's really kind but there's one here for £2.99 inc postage, I reckon even if the charity shop sold it back to you for a quid the PO would rob you of more than £2 to post it to me! Thanks though, you're very kind.

Thanks for this - I had a recollection of this over Xmas. One for the wish list.
