just read - well looked at the pictures of a book called lockheed blackbird family, does anyone know of any good books that are similar.

the don't have to be about planes just interesting engineering projects with lots of photos cos I'm dyslexic.

Well I can recommend a book called 'Skunk Works' by Ben Rich.

It's about the Lockheed development team, written by the man who ran it for many years. it talks about the U2, Blackbird and the Stealth Fighter. When they first did radar tests on the stealth fighter they had it mounted up on a pole like a model aircraft, but they found the pole was far more radar reflective that the plane. I think they use a fibre glass pole now.
