Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone else has started to read/finished 'The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared' by Jonas Jonasson ?
Forgive it's somewhat jazzy title, but I'm only half way through and actually LOL'ing.
I've never heard of the author before, and after reading that it won awards was a bit dubious about how good it was.

Luckily I managed to grab it when it was on amazon for 20p for Kindle! (and still is)

I was just wanting to see if anyone else is a fan?

Looks interesting and have just downloaded it for 20p. smile

When I've read Andyroo's book I'll take a look at this one.

Read this last summer - thoroughly enjoyed it, its quirky & irreverent, the main character sometimes seems utterly oblivious to people around him and at other times seems hugely sensitive and insightful - traces of Forrest Gump in both this respect and the way his personal story intertwines with key events in 20th century history. Gets a 'recommend' from me.

I'm about halfway through it and am thoroughly enjoying it. It's well written and translated, and very entertaining. I'd endorse everything that previous poster Flook has noted with reference to Forest Gump and historic events.
