Help finding WW2 related picture book
Discussion
Hi there,
My gran suffers from Alzheimer's which makes buying a Christmas present for her that she can enjoy particularly difficult. While much of her memory has been lost she still has some very strong memories from her childhood, growing up in the East End of London just before and during the war.
She loves looking at old photographs and I'm hoping to find a book which covers that period of London's history in photographs. Short sections of text are ok but really I want a book where the images are the focus.
I've been having a look on-line but everything I find seems to be more leaning towards a written history with a few pictures which would just be pointless for her. I'll be looking in some bookshops at the weekend but I just thought I'd post here in case anyone has any ideas.
Thanks.
