Just been discussing The Dirt in another thread, the autobiography of Motley Crew which charts their astonishing sexual, drug addled and general mentalist activities in the 1980s.

What books have others read that have left them gobsmacked at some of the levels of debauchery that go on in the 'un-normal' world of fame?

I suppose the classic example is Stephen Davis' Led Zep bio, "Hammer of the Gods", roundly condemned by the surviving band members for its lack of veracity (but then they would say that, wouldn't they?!)
Julia Phillips' "You'll Never Eat Lunch In This Town Again" is fairly spectacular.
