Caravan brakes ( BPW)
Discussion
Has anyone attempted to or carried out servicing or brake shoe replacement on their caravan .In particular one with a BPW chassis ( Elddis or CI caravans )
Our caravan is now about 11 years old , and will have done over 10k miles and I feel the braking efficiency is not what it was , and maybe new shoes are required , fortunately I have the manual for the chassis with the caravan paperwork .
I have already adjusted the turnbuckle to get correct clearance between the push rod and braking lever ,but do not get the feel of the caravan brakes doing the full job .
I have googled prices, and the total cost , brake parts and new hub nuts come in at around £200 , gasp !!
