Think this will be the best section to ask, I need a couple of trackers fitted to my trailer and horsebox bar. Googling just gives info overload. I am after european coverage, and it will be installed on stuff that will not be used for up to 4 months (so without power/recharge). Would like phone alerts if it moves, so some sort of subscription service, ideally not too expensive.

Any recomendations?

cheers

I use Rewire Security, or www.GPSLive. Dead easy to fit but pretty sure needs a 12v supply. Guess you could probably fit some sort of small 12v battery hidden away somewhere. Cheap and reliable and you can track it yourself and since it lists your speed at any point wonder if you could use it as a defence if you were caught speeding?

Rewire needs a 12V supply, but you may be able to put a discrete solar panel on the roof to keep a small battery topped up. A 12v 7Ah battery isn't very large, and a basic trickle charge panel should do the job.

I've had a couple of these on my motorbikes for over a year and they work really well. If I'm moving the bikes about in the garage even a few feet and forget to take the fob with me I get an automated phone call right away

Do you want telematics or security? It's not really clear in your post.
Ive got https://www.606060.com/motorhome-security-system-1... fitted to my motorhome and https://www.quartix.com/en-gb/ fitted to my company vehicles.
