They say most accidents happen within a mile of two of home.
Having towed the caravan from Berkshire to our storage site, happy to be back I'm trundling in through the gate and my son starts talking to me about some nonsense, then I look in the mirror to see various bits of plastic and other stuff on the side of my caravan getting mangled on the the hitch of the first caravan as you come through the gate
Idiot
Luckily no serious damage to the other caravan other than a torn hitch cover and the guy who's van it was has been very chilled out about it and said not to worry.
Not so good on mine, nice scrape / indent to the body work and I've trashed the battery locker, water inlet cover, and water heater exhaust vent. The latter two aren't hugely expensive to replace but I wondered if I could get a secondhand battery box. Scouring eBay / the Internet doesn't come up with much though other than new ones at ~£110. I'll pay that if I have to but other than keeping an eye on eBay anyone have any other places to recommend?
It's a 2008 Coachman Pastiche. To be honest due to the age of the van I'm not really bothered about the state of the body work so will probably leave that. What's even more annoying is a recent service throwing up the need for new wheel bearing and tyres as well as having a de-laminated floor to sort at some later stage. Wear and tear things though so to be expected I guess.

That's a bit of a pain. Is this the sort of thing you're looking for? https://www.caravanbreakers.net/index.php/9/184676...

It's actually this https://plsgroup.co.uk/shop/nbbs-new-nds-white-bat...They haven't got one on the site you linked but thanks anyway. What's unclear is if the door and surround is separate from the main battery box, an initial look had me thinking it's one complete thing but on the site I've linked they seem to sell the door / surround separately which is possibly all I need.

I had a look at the battery box om my 2011 Pastiche, and the battery box is a separate piece from the door and frame. The black rubber seal goes between the two.

Thanks for that, sounds hopeful that I can just replace the frame and door. Have to try and get up to the storage site sometime this week to get a closer look. Also can't decide if mine was magnolia or was white and has just yellowed with age

Should just unscrew and peel off the mastic. Caravan 'yellow' is a special colour...
