So, I’ve wanted a camper for ages it managed to take myself out of it. I was sat watching the Monaco GP and said to my wife I’d like to go there, then we mapped out a road trip, and I mentioned how cool it’d be to do said road trip in a camper so shortly after we looked at a fair few and bought this:

A 2.5 T5 with a pop top, facelift and camper conversion!

The idea is as we run a B&B in Scarborough to hire it out to contribute to its costs...

I’ll keep this thread updated with how that goes! We’ve gone “live” today with our website and have had a couple of bookings. We’re going to test it out this Friday as I’ve never stayed in a camper, it has no instructions, and I’ve no idea how anything works...

Best of luck with it. We love our T6 smile

Let us know also how you get on with renting it. Not sure I could ever rent out either of mine, but I guess if it's viewed as a money generating asset rather than a toy or an Extension of your home, then it's easier to get your head around. I'm presuming giving you run a B&B already, your mindset is already open to sharing your personal space with others anyway.

Good luck and enjoy! smile

Pretty much! Also we can’t use it when it’s the most popular times to use it would be so it seems a good idea (in my head at least!).

We’ve been live a few days and got 3 bookings already and had a dozen or so enquiries.

Tonight we’re camping about 1.5 miles from home to suss it all out, I’m happy to say it all works!
