Tuscany Trip to collect brand new Roller Team...
Discussion
Not mine sadly....! But for anyone that may be interested in visiting Roller Team, taking delivery of a Brand New UK 4 or 6 berth motorhome and repatriating it over 10 or 7 days back to UK, the rental guys at Just Go Campervans (near Luton) are doing special deals to get the 200 motorhomes they have bought back to UK!
Deals vary, but some space in March for a 10 day trip, BA flights to Pisa and transfers to Factory, then ferry back all included along with 10 days hire for £500 for two people. Of course you have to pay fuel and tolls and camp site charges, but unrestricted mileage, all insurance etc included. Great ROAD TRIP!
Other dates also in April during easter hols for the kids, a little bit more, £550 for 2, but additional people are cheaper, and the trip is 7 days not 10.
No affiliation, just got an email about it and thought it sounded pretty cool and good value, hence may be of interest to adventurous PHers.
Contact Just Go for details, there is surprisingly little in their site about it, but you can find the flyer on line with a bit of searching and they can send it you if interested.
Tuscany, (Ducati, Ferrari and Lambo factory visits) Austria, Germany (Porsche) , across to Strasbourg and back via NW France sounds great!

What a great offer! Thanks for posting.
The website is here...

...and they are talking about the April ones only but I guess if someone was quick there might be the March ones still available.
Still, £550 for a weeks hire with all the flights, ferry etc etc thrown in..bargain of the century!

There are a lot of Campsites open from March onwards, plus look up Aires of Europe or just the countries that you will be travelling through.
They all generally supply you with Water,And Dump facilities both for Grey & Black water, but not all supply electric.
However they are generally all very good and fairly centrally located to the villages and towns that you will pass through.
Alternatively call in to all the towns and ask them for a map with the positions ofvthe Aires in their area, ( all free as well )
Also not expensive, enjoy

Wow! Thanks for posting.
Will check out work calendar tomorrow. May consider cancelling the Highlands trip in my van and might go for this instead. I can do Scotland at any time. This looks like a corker!
Isn't this a bit like a Chilean Miner going on a potholing holiday...? Will check out work calendar tomorrow. May consider cancelling the Highlands trip in my van and might go for this instead. I can do Scotland at any time. This looks like a corker!
I hope it is a cracking deal.
Just to let you all know, if you want to upgrade insurance to no excess etc, CDW, it is 15 quid a day.
I suspect since they're brand new, it is difficult to claim any damage was "already there"!
Does worry me about things like screen stonechips etc?
If you exit at the back of the factory, head up the hill and to the right, you are only a couple of km's away from San Gimignano, which IMO is a must see. If you go out of the front of the factory, cross the road up to Vico D'Elsa (which in itself is not much, but very pleasant), it has a fantastic pizzeria called Vico Furbo in the village centre. Also, the vineyard on the hillside up to Vico, owned by a lovely chap named Pietro Majnoni, has great organic wines.

depends on route, but minimum 1200 miles. Say 20mpg, 60 gallons, 350 quid?
tolls 100 quid?
camping 15 to 25 quid per night?
1200 quid maybe all in?
Tolls will be more than 100 if you drive motorway all the way.tolls 100 quid?

It was about 170E from Lucca ovest ,Mont Blanc tunnel, Calais last May.
Had to go direct as I did it all in 1 day.

6 days to get back to calais though, so unlikely to do Mway all the way. I'm thinking of doing route via Switzerland, Lichenstein, Austria, up to stutgart, then across into Strasbourg and up the NE of france. but stay off main routes where poss and see the more local side of things. of course, getting into village centreas in a 7.5m long 3m high house, is not always easy!! Just sent this to my gf. Would love to do a Lambo factory tour followed by a lazy drive up to Calais. No idea which route I'd take though...
Dammit, just realised the gf is doing the Brighton marathon on the weekend that the dates cover and sadly they don't offer other dates Gassing Station | Tents, Caravans & Motorhomes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
