Caravan sale made me smile.

In a moment of madness I decided that I would sell my caravan and start looking for a motorhome as a replacement. Duly advertised and received interest from two people.
First off was the chap from Netherland, email more detail and fulfilled request for the restoration images. Replied thank you I will not be in the UK for a while so don't hold it for me - fair enough.
Second person turned up, I left it to him to look over for ten minutes and said I will answer questions that you may have. Questions were - where is the heater? where is the cooker and is it gas? where is electric supply and other questions followed. I told him that the cooker is run on paraffin, no electric supply points and no heater. He turned his nose up and said 'he would think it over' (no then).
Me thinks he didn't do his homework before viewing perhaps, after all the caravan is a 1929 Eccles, the first of the motor towed touring caravans ever built
Since decided not to sell.

Funny you should say that, I was looking at a 1931 motorhome it is based on a Austin 12/4 chassis. Nice bit of kit but not original. Its former life was an ambulance!
