Anyone had/got one ? if so what is your opinion ? Need one for camping at motorsports events as a communal kitchen and general sitting area for ugly blokes. Thanks.

I have a Coleman Event Shelter (the deluxe version) and it's very good. The deluxe is quite expensive though - and big!

But they do the Pro version and the normal version as well, always loads of them at campsites when we go away in our caravan.

Hmmm.... not really. I can't talk for the one in the link above, but our Coleman shelter is absolutely brilliant.

No way a gazebo would have stayed put in some of the winds that we had this summer (we use it in the garden for the kids to play under in the sun). It's also big - 4.5m x 4.5m.

Yeah the colemans are a great piece of kit, but the quechua like a gazebo albeit the frame is a bit more solid.

Its a gazebo type we need. love the Coleman Shelter as well but we need it with sides to protect against wind and rain as we will be using it as a kitchen and place to sit for meals and, well.... shelter from the weather. Le Mans and Silverstone (Classic) this year had bad weather and we had a struggle with the wind (no jokes please !) Will look at the smaller Coelman version.

You can get walls for the Coleman shelters as well smile

As well as a groundsheet that zips to all the walls.

There was a Colman shelter with sides on it up at the site we stayed on in August. It was up in strong winds where some caravanners had taken down their awnings and didnt seem to get damaged.
