Hi can anyone help?

Looking for a good & child friendly campsite in kind of the Le Mans area, so:

Le Mans
Tours
Orleans

Ideally near to a lake...

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Many thanks for that Rosscow!

Out of interest, do you happen to work in Sussex for a Joinery firm and have a lovely Doberman?

Just stalking that's all...

I stayed here with my family about 15 years ago - my recollection is of it being peaceful and a rather nice setting sited around the chateau. It does have a lake, but I seem to recall it being more of the fishing type (my dad and I pulled out over 15 carp each in the space of a couple of hours - pretty much the only time that fishing kept me entertained!) rather than swimming, but I think has a pool too. Worth a look smile

We always stay at Le Bounty Lakes Camp site for Le Mans as do a lot of Pistonheads, it has Camping around fishing lakes, always good there for us.

bountylemans.com or look it up on www.ukcampsite.co.uk

The address is :- Le Bounty Lakes,Teloche,Le Man, Loire Valley, 72220
Telephone:- 0033243422020
It is South of Le Man on the A28/D338 just after you come through Écommoy

Chanteloup is perfect.
I stay there for the 24 Hr but have also spent time there with the family. During the summer holiday, they have a kids activity programme and lots going on.
A lovely pool, little on site shop, bar and restaurant. Loos and showers are all great quality and clean.
Highly recommended.

Another vote for Chanteloup, was there last week and looking forward to returning next week.

Only problem was it raised our expectation levels and the next site we stayed at was a real anticlimax....
