Tow ball - a question of height

Currently I am having to use my daily runner modern for towing my vintage caravan. The difference in height of the tow ball on the car and cup on caravan is a quite dramatic 10 inches. This means a very much nose down stance when hitched and results in excessive tow ball nose weight.
Any practical solutions?
