Hi

Looking for a tent for Le Mans so the space we have allocated is minimal so I need to be considerate to the others in my group. But I want a tent that I can stand up in and has a decent amount of room in. Maybe with a porch area so I can get some air in (hoping its going to be hot!)

Struggling to find anything though, size is being the pain factor.

Any ideas?

I use a Wynnster Shrike 4 Dome Tent for Le Mans. Despite being a 4 person tent, it'll only sleep 2 comfortably, 3 would be cosy but doable. Standing height in both the porch and main sleeping area and it takes 10 minutes to put up, only 3 poles so easy peasy. They're discontinued now unfortunately but you might find one used or something similiar.

Army 9x9 tent.
Easy to put up, can be done in 10 minutes and very sturdy.

I went for this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coleman-Instant-Tourer-Ten... however it will sleep 4 and is larger than the OP wants.

There is a similar model, Instant 3 which is a 3 man version, if its anything like the 4 man version it will be plenty large enough for 3. Its 1.15m high so not quite high enough to stand in.

Issue I think with them though is the sloping front which means water will come in when opening door if it rains. Others have solved that either by getting the porch extension or my using a tarpaulin for the same thing.

If you have a 7x5 pitch to get multiple tents and a car on - you are going to struggle to find one.

I went for one from Decathlon, the Quecha Arpenaz 4.1. It's not small, but seemed about the most compact given I had the same requirements as you (albeit it's to sleep one - me).
