Chaps,

I'm looking to arrange a camping trip somewhere within easy striking distance of Oxford for early September.

Ideally the site would be of decent quality, would allow a group of 8-10 (vaguely) sensible adults, and be within walking distance of a pub or two. Dog friendly would also help.

Another massive bonus would be if they also had camping pods available on site as well.

I've had a look but can't find anything that ticks all those boxes.

Does anyone know of something that fits the bill?

TIA thumbup

Actually, it doesn't need to be Oxford. Rather within about an hour or so of Berkhamsted, Herts.

Not a personal recommendation, just saw it mentioned on an article.

We stayed at Diamond Caravan Park near Oxford last weekend.

It was busy, but had good clean toilets, small shop, outdoor swimming pool, small play area. It was a little dated but absolutely fine for our needs. Owners/ warden really helpful. The site is quite small and had a lot of families staying (which suited us).

Eh? That's nowhere near Oxford?

Hurley is a lovely site, I've not stayed at Swiss Farm but seems to tick boxes.

If Lee Vallley is an option, we stayed in the pods year before last and it was very good. Felt like a weekend spent in a large gingerbread house

Swiss Farm is a great place.

Another one for you to consider is Anita's Farm near Banbury.
