Pop top roof for T5

Has anyone had experience of the HiLo roof conversion ?
I fancy one of these as they are so low it doesn't spoil the lines of the VW
Bit pricey but have been warned off the cheaper hobbies due to leaks and wind noise

I presume you've read the thread on the VW T4/T5 Forum?

Some people had bad experiences and then they got a slating on BBC Watchdog but they appear to have dug themselves back out of a hole and are selling well. I've not heard anyone getting upset with them recently.

It all depends if you want more space inside the vehicle or not. The HiLo looses about 45mm of headroom which can make headroom limited and in my van I can just about sit up in bed (downstairs) with the roof (or roof bed) down but 45mm lower and it would be uncomfortable. I'd still prefer the SCA or new Reimo Easy fit roof do the the nicer internal finishing and ability to close the roof section off at night.

Just got back from visiting their workshop. Take your point about the reduced interior space. We were very impressed with the quality of the product though and they took a lot of time to explain the design. Still looking at the options though.
