Well, the C & CC and the CC are now taking bookings for 2015.

I'm not sure on any UK based trips yet but we have booked our summer holiday in France. Going to have 11 nights in the Loire valley and then 4 nights near Paris - going to treat the girls to 3 days in Euro-Disney on the way home.

Booked the ferry - £162 return with DFDS Dover to Calais. Pretty good for twin axle 'van in prime school holiday season!

Im planning on hitting the lakes at some point in April, just got to work out a worth site, then Ill take it to Le Mans aswell I'm thinking

Nice! Let me know what the Bruges site is like. We love Bruges - taking the wife there for a surprise night away on the 21st December.

How did you get that deal on DFDS? That's brilliant!

I'll be in Brugge for New Year as well with a car club.

This Spring collect my new Hymer, then a shake down run to Galicia and return for starters.

The site is fantastic. Stayed there December last year in a tent, then March in the caravan. Really clean, the shower block is immaculate beyond belief, 1 hours Wifi for 1 Euro, bus station outside, supermarket, and mcdonalds, and three petrol stations within 500yards, its really well located.

The deal, well DFDS took my payment twice. £179 x 2. I called and complained, they assured me they hadnt. So two days later, after 3 failures to call me back, I sent in a screenshot of my bank, they apologised, promised to refund my extra booking, and 50% off the normal booking by sat AM. Called up on Monday, no refund, so went nuts at them. Whole refund, ferry return next year FOC, VIp upgrade for me + 1. So I went the extra mile, said im travelling with 4 outfits (which is correct) and they upgraded them all too!

No idea yet. I last went to LeMans when MG ran, many many years back, and was in hospitality. SO I have to work out where I want to go this year.

I have stayed on this site for several years Le Mans and it's pretty well organised, plus quite a lot of 'Pistonheads' have had different meet ups there as well.
Look up 'Bountylemans' it' a pretty good site, and they run shuttle buses into the track as well.

Showers,Toilets,Bar,Food,BBQ's & fishing on the lakes as well if you are interested, pretty decent crowd there always.

If I get to Brugge early enough will come down for a beer beer

Looks great! We are on the other side, staying at Hotel Ter Brughe.

Another nice little hotel we have used before is Hotel Bryghia.

that looks gorgeous! Love the ceilings and beams, you even get a canal view!
I couldn't drag 2 suitcases full of beer and chocolate bback to the station from there though

and its near Cafe Vlissinghe, this will be the 5th year I've been to Bruges and not yet made it there!

Yep, we got a standard canal view room for £78 bed and breakfast. Bargain at Christmas time!

Unfortunately one thing I have discovered is not to go back to Bruges on a Monday and Tuesday - a lot of the good places to eat and drink are closed! Including Cafe Vlissinghe (I had wanted to go there myself).

I have managed to book a table at Wijn Bar Est though, that gets good reviews and looks nice.

dont tell me that, I promised myself I'd go this time!

think we paid about that for the deluxe room at ours with breakfast. Food wise we'll probably eat in cambrinus and a restaurant on the market in the evening but we've eaten all over and never had issues there.

so many bars i have yet to go to, want to go to the duvelorium and le trappiste this year. Normally just wander aimlessly sitting down and grabbing a menu

Trips planned next year

Cambridge at Half Term in Feb

Scotland at Easter for 10 days or so

Then the big one in the summer: - tour down to the Italian lakes, spend 2 weeks there and tour back. 5 weeks in all bounce

...as well as 1 and 2 nighters away every 2 weeks or so just to keep everything in working order

biggrin
