Hi what sort of campervan could I get for 4.5k.
I will not be doing big mileages so petrol would be fine.
I have seen some on ebay etc which don't look to bad.
What should I be looking for.
Apart from the obvious
Cheers

Rust
Both can be terminally expensive to put right, and can be hidden by the less scrupulous seller.
Bought mine the week before Christmas that saved us a couple of grand.
there isnt really such a thing as a cheap camper, at that budget they will be well used or rusty.
Stay well clear of the vw at that price you will be getting a 2k camper with a 2.5k badge.
At that budget I would give some serious thought to the mazda bongo or a toyota grandvia/regius There are plenty of these recently converted and they will keep up with modern traffic

Doubt you'll get a converted bongo for £4500, unconverted ones go for that much.there isnt really such a thing as a cheap camper, at that budget they will be well used or rusty.

We were a little uncertain about how much we would use the camper (loved camping but with two young kids.....). We bought a VW because it should not depreciate and should be easier to sell than something else if we wanted out.
Luckily prices of T25s seem to be firming up especially for good examples.... so no net loss despite the 'scene tax'.
