We purchased our motorhome last October, from a dealer inside the low emission zone.
We store the motorhome at this dealers.
We live inside the LEZ.
We have just found out that our motorhome is not low emission zone compliant.....
Not happy.......how can a dealer sell it in the first place inside the LEZ when it should not be there.
Thoughts please.

Not being compliant doesn't mean it can't be driven, just a big cost for doing so.

It's like buying a car that is subject to the C charge from BMW park lane and expecting not to pay the charge, did you ask them the question?

Don't you just pay the charge?

Surely you have to use the vehicle to be subject to the charge?

I could forgive the trader if it was a commercial vehicle you were purchasing for it could be argued you should know about such things. But a recreational vehicle? I'd be having words.

Yes.....but what good is a motorhome you can't move.
If it was congestion charge exempt this would have been pointed out by thr selling dealer as a pro!......they didn't point out the negative.

Think you may have missed my point somewhere or do you work for the dealer I purchased it from?

Do you think the dealer knew, you didn't so he genuinely may not have done, if he did you've been had over. Is there any way you could move it to storage outside the zone and drive to it in your car when you want to use it? Cover the reg plates with trade plates when you initially move it. Alternatively you could get it converted to be compliant or sell it.

The dealer was defiantly aware....they are a large concern.
Could move it to storage outside the zone.
I do not have access to trade plates.
Conversion costs upto £3500 with a yearly test and no guarantee that it is compliant.
Selling it seems the best option......

Did you ask them if it was LEZ compliant?

Did the dealer know you would be keeping it in the LEZ when you looked at it initially? At what point did them storing it come up?
