Hi all, I have a new caravan. I say new, I mean its actually quite old but new to me.
I need to get a battery for it.

I am clueless. The caravan doesn't have the remote control parking thingy so battery will just power fridge, lights etc.

Price is important so the cheapest for me please.

Just noticed your other post.

How long is the festival? You'll probably have to use your gas to power the fridge as it will eat the battery within a day or two I'd have thought.

I presume it has a 3 way (battery/gas/electric hook up) fridge?

Consider looking at a solar panel to keep the battery topped up.

As for the battery itself, I'm afraid I'm not particularly knowledgeable.

However - make sure you measure the battery compartment and make sure whatever battery you buy actually fits!!!!

If it can accommodate one try and get a 110ah battery.

IIRC paying about £80 for ours last year. I could have got a bit cheaper, but preferred a bit of staying power....

Don't forget to make sure it's a leisure battery - very different to vehicle batteries.

Fridge - run on gas. We did this at Le Mans and it worked admirably (although it was a little small - need to work on that for next year). Ran for 3.5 days and lots of gas still left. Same for hot water heater - means you can have a hot shower too....

The fridge won't run off the battery unless the car is hooked up and engine running!. Gas is the way if no mains hook up. Make sure you get a leisure battery, not a standard car battery.

I'm selling a brand new Numax 110ah at the mo for £55, that's half the new price, bought it for a project but it's too ruddy big.

Not worth posting it sadly due to weight and I suspect the o.p isn't in Lancs?
