Just back from a road/camping trip to France in our van which was fantastic. France is so accommodating for campers, we found a great site near the town of Montignac in the Dordogne run by a couple from Halifax who give a wonderful reception to campers. It's Adult only so if you want a break from the kids it peaceful and beautiful situation, also very dog friendly with some pitches having dog pens. The whole place is immaculate and the shower block is like a hotel , one of the best sites we have come across .

Our T5 van was faultless thro out the trip, can't wait to return driving

I believe they like to take bookings ( it's only a eight pitch site ) and they are going to get busy over the next two months. Having said that we just pitched up which is our normal way of camping ( no planning allowed ) ha ha, but if they can they will accommodate you, my deal was if you need the pitch for a booked camper we will bugger off pronto !
