Anybody know at what height something becomes a high-sided vehicle?

Our MH is 3m at the top point above the cab but about 2.5m for the main body, if a bridge were closed to high-sided vehicles, does that include motorhomes?

Can't answer your question, sorry.

But many years ago I was driving an old coach converted to carry a race car with 4 bunks, kitchen etc. It weighed, if my memory is correct about 10 tons fully loaded.

I was asked at the Forth road bridge to 'guide' a motor home over as it was a bit windy.

I suppose the bottom line is if they say no high siders then it's windy and ask yourself if you want to risk it!

Thanks for the replies, we're off to Scotland this week so was thinking specifically the Forth bridge.

May have found some guidance here...
