...storage of your motorhome if you cannot keep it on your drive?

I would be interested in the type of facility and what services - if any - they offer. Also where you are in the world would help too. smile

Genuinely interested as we are planning to buy one at some stage but we dont have the driveway for it in our current house

Cheers smile

We pay £30 for a caravan, one of the most secure in the country apparently, pitches arnt marked out very well so good "neighbours" is needed, sometimes come back from holiday to find our pitch is much narrower than when we left

I pay £50pcm for our motorhome storage. Is Gold standard certified (double security gates, ANPR, key fob & remote opening and guard dogs) and owns live on site. Site is located just outside M25 in Essex but within easy reach of A10, M11, A414 so ideal for getting away. It's also just 2miles from home, which is ideal either for pickup/drop off or just popping down to fiddle or check up on stuff.

Only facilities is water standpipe for tank filling.

£200 for the year

Industrial complex 2 miles from home, you have to pass through manned security barrier, then two sets of locked gates.

Site is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and security record all comings and goings (you have to sign in at security to get keys)

CCTV too

This is just outside Belfast

£25/week.

Hampshire. On an army base with a logistics company.

Site is massively secure and my motorhome is kept inside a large heated warehouse with full battery monitoring and monthly runs around the site to ensure the mechanicals are fine.

Plus, the place is fully insured.

Works for me.

£360/yr for storage on a corner of a CL in North Merseyside.

Not CASSOA grade security as it's just a CL but I'm working on the principle that there's a lot less tatty vans than mine stored there to be taken first! He certainly makes more momney ou of the storage than the CL, that's for sure! smile

£310 per year. South East. Outside. CASSOA Gold. 24x7 access with keys.
Not much as far as facilities on site. About 45 mins from home, but we quite often camp within an hour from storage (weekends) so can make things easier for us as half the journey is solo.

Around here (Bedford) pricing ranges from £350 pa for a old garden nurseries out in the sticks to around £500 fora Gold status location. My quotes were a bit more as my motorhome is over 7m. All of them were quite full. I can just squeeze mine onto the drive so have done this although I may consider a secure place next winter.

Thanks for this. smile

I did some cursory research on a couple of local places here (Cirencester)and prices seem to be up to £500 indoors.

Although a local car storage place wanted £42.50 per week for indoor including Accumate eek ...although to be fair he did say it would occupy 2 x car spaces hence the expense.

We started looking around for a van yesterday - went to a place near Gloucester to have a look at a few. We plan to visit a place on the top side of Swindon in a couple of weeks time. After that we have one booked for 12 days or so in the summer so will see how we get on with that (driving down to the Pyrenees).

We are in no rush smile

Kept our caravan outside here this winter

http://www.calverscaravanstorage-bedford.co.uk/

Cost £250 for six months. Good security three padlocked doors to get through to the storage area and it's all under CCTV and two houses on the farm. There was probably 200 vans there and three big barns where I think he stores prestige cars, someone I chatted to when I was there said one of the barns is full of Ferraris but of course you can't get in to have a look. No idea how much inside storage is, but we'll take our van back for outside storage again this coming winter. It's the MK side of Bedford so not a long distance from the Cotswolds is it?

£1 a week. no frills, sod all security, but well out of the way of prying eyes. van is insured as such, so no problems there.

i would keep it on my drive, but the neighbours got a bit anti about opening their front door to the side of a caravan every day.....

I pay around £240 per year, Gold standard, CCTV, security beam around perimeter which has a deep ditch on 3 sides behind concrete posts at 6ft centres, swipe card for access. AFAIK nothing has ever been removed or been broken into. 10 minute drive from home, cheap for peace of mind.
