What's the deal with super pitches - do you get a water standpipe with a tap?

If so, and you have an on board water tank like we do, can you just poke a hose through the window and fill your tank up which is under the seat? Must be quicker than using the built in water pump?

The idea is you keep the tap connected to the van by a hose. Our outboard tank has a ball type valve that keeps the tank topped up as you use the water. Not sure how it would work with an internal tank....

Drainage runs to a drainage point.

Get an aquaroll and hpok that up to your external water supply. Then get a mains water kit for the aquaroll (few quid off ebay) and connect that to the tap on the pitch.

You won't need to use your internal tank at all.

You can't use your internal tank. 'van systems cannot take mains water pressure. You must connect to your outside aquaroll using the mains water kit, as other peeps say.

Also make sure you have a good length of grey water waste pipe to run to the grate - not always close to the van - take a several meters with you.

I think you misunderstood me - I didn't intend to just connect the hose to the Whale....

I literally meant poke a hose through the window, into the top of the internal tank.

Turn hose on, fill tank up. Remove hose.

Got to be a lot quicker than filling up aqua roll, then pumping through the system into the internal tank.

There will be a lever under your seats that allows you to run off an external tank or the internal one. So if you have an aquaroll, it'll use the water directly from there - your internal tank won't be used and can be left empty.

You misunderstand the whole process. You don't "fill up" the aquaroll. Using the aquaroll mains connector, you connect the pipe from the tap to the aquaroll and leave it. You leave the mains tap turned on. The aquaroll fills to about halfway, and feeds direct to the external water intake on your van. As you use water in your van, the aquaroll automatically maintains its level from the mains.

You don't connect the aquaroll to the internal tank - you connect it to the exterior connection marked "direct to taps" - the water doesn't go via your internal tank at all. It maintains the level in the water heater tank, and feeds cold water direct to your taps, shower etc.

Why would you poke a hose through the window and fill up your internal tank?

to maximize the risk of filling the interior of your van with water after all, all it takes is the tap to be slow turning off or the hose to move and mains water is sprayed all round the van interior.

I have an internal tank, with external filler hole. You can but a pressure reducer with ballcock type arrangement to stick the outside hose straight into the side filler. Removes the aqua roll again, which has a much crapper pump than my internal one for pressure of the water.

alla this for aqua roll, but they do one for your internal tank, just struggling to find it.

This is another way to direct feed you van

Aquaroll and internal tank use the same pump to pressure the taps. The aquaroll external pump only kicks in when you use it to fill the internal tank. The "direct to tap" external filler hole does not have any electrical connections to power the aquaroll pump. That's in my 'van of course - may be different in other 'vans.
